こんにちは、James Minhasと申します。サセックス大学で留学生担当を務めています。私 は2004年にサセックス大学を卒業し、バーミンガム大学への勤務を経て、2016年に日本担 当としてサセックスに戻ってきました。 サセックス大学は国際色豊かなキャンパスを誇り、日本人留学生を迎える長い伝統があり ます。毎年、約100人の日本人留学生を受け入れ、イギリス大学のなかでも高い支持を得 ています。サセックスはとくに開発学に関する評価が高く、「QS世界大学ランキング 」（2020年版）の開発学部門では1位に入っています。 beoとは10年以上にわたり密接な関係を築き、優秀な学生の留学を実現させるbeoのサポー ト力を高く評価しています。2024年4月からは、サセックス大学日本担当事務官がbeo の東京オフィスに在籍。皆様の留学支援に尽力しています。
My name is James Minhas and an International Officer at the University of Sussex. I graduated from the University of Sussex in 2004. After working at the University of Birmingham for over 10 years, I returned to Sussex in 2016 as International Officer for Japan. The University of Sussex is very international and has a long tradition of welcoming students from Japan. The University is consistently ranked number one in the world for Development Studies (QS World Rankings 2020), and has four different Schools/Institutions that come under this ranking and offer over 30 courses in Development Studies (School of Global Studies, Institute of Development Studies and Science and Technology Policy Research Unit). Sussex is one of the most popular destinations for Japanese students in the UK, with over 100 Japanese students every year. The University of Sussex has worked with BEO for over a decade and we have an excellent relationship. BEO do an excellent job helping prospective students prepare to study in the UK. From Spring 2024, BEO Tokyo is home to the University of Sussex Japan Office, which will be staffed by the University of Sussex Japan Representative, who will be able to offer students interested in studying at Sussex tailored and dedicated help.
