第7回目のフレーズは…
「Water under the bridge」です！
直訳すると「橋の下の水」。まさに写真（上）の様な状況が思い浮かびます。昔ながらのことわざの様な意味がありそうですが、一体どんな場面で使うのか。 まずは、一連の会話から見ていきましょう！

Brad: Hi, John. Are you Okay?
John: I’m fine. Why? Don’t I look okay?
Brad: I’ve just heard that you broke up with your girlfriend.
John: Yeah, but it was like two weeks ago.
Brad: Are you fine with that? I mean you really liked her didn’t you?
John: I did, but it’s water under the bridge. I have to move forward.
Brad: You’re right.

今回は少し簡単でしたね。そうです。
「Water under the bridge」には「過ぎてしまったこと、水に流した過去」
といった意味があります。

Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionaryには以下のよう書かれています。
“Used to say that something happened in the past and is now forgotten or no longer important.”
